Thraxxgang member, Fee, brings a unique bounce and style to Chicago's Hip-Hop scene. He often confidently floats over pitched up samples and trap drums. His 2021 project, ThreeStrikes is an impressive collection of memorable hooks and flows. Future (Bonus) is a personal favorite of mine that gets stuck in my head after every listen. 1st Listen Recommendation:
What’s your background? What got you into creating?
My background really started in music, back in 3rd grade I was playing drums and saxophone. As I got older I started liking fashion and sports more and music kind of fell to the side. I really wanted to make beats but I gave that shit up and started writing raps. I just realized after a while how therapeutic it was and a new outlet to pop my shit.
How would you describe your style?
Best way to describe my style is if you take Chicago backpack, mix it wit some Detroit bounce, and add some concentrated east coast lyrics is the best way to describe it. Some real THRAXX gang shit.
How does where you're from influence you and your craft?
Maywood is really a hidden gem for everything. We got some of the best hoopers, rappers, and designers. I think just knowing that greatness has moved through here before is all the motivation I need. Also, the support from the Town definitely be putting a battery in my back frfr.
What is Thraxxgang?
Thraxxgang is really a family first before anything. We created the group in highschool and we all remained to keep it a buck wit each other and grew into this collective because we realized all of was doing something raw (sports, music, media) The music side consists of myself, Austin2Glocks(Artist), AlliKnow(Artist), Tre5(Artist), Maneski(Artist), Dale4(Artist), and BigBodyBreazy(Producer), JoshX(curator/graphic design) . We really see Thraxxgang as a new form of Odd Future, or like a Asap Mob. Trying to create new sounds and lanes be tough asl but us as a collective have taken on that challenge and are gonna keep pushing the boundaries to this music shit. I see my career in music going as far as I want to take it fr. Getting a deal with Empire or a major and starting a subsidiary label would be the ultimate goal and just being able to create with the homies.
