What song of yours do you want people to hear first?
I want people to hear Dance on My Grave or The 7th Gate music video. I feel like together they really paint a picture of me beyond the music. They show you where I'm from and what I'm about.
What's your background?
I feel like I’ve been around music my entire life. I don’t come from any real music background other than my parents just loving music. Honestly, I'm thankful for it. Not having a traditional background made music all trial and error for me. I taught myself the majority of what I know whether It was teach myself to DJ when I was 7 or writing posters that eventually turned into raps when I was 13.
How do you think those early experiences with music have shaped your style + artistry today?
Once I saw J. Cole live it changed my entire perspective. I knew music was all I wanted to do. As far as experiences, all my music is telling stories about my life. I feel like if some one wanted to know me my music is almost better than talking to me.
Even though you’re such a young artist, you’ve already dropped an impressive project and collection of singles. Where do you see yourself and your craft going in the next few years?
Over the next few years, I see big shows and honestly just making really dope music with my friends. I think that’s the way real growth happens you can’t force it. I want to continue you to grow with the people I started with and put on for the city.
What do you want people to know Jabba44x for?
I want people to know me for being the person that really did it. I started off with just home base to stand on a lot of people really saw me start off at ground zero and just keep pushing.
